Graduate Programme expanding in 2019
I’m excited to announce we are extending the deVere Graduate Programme in 2019 by more than 25 per cent!
At least 160 graduates will be participating in our flagship programme this year, compared to the 125 grads we had with us in 2018.
As part of deVere’s ambitious horizontal and vertical growth strategy, there are four main drivers for the expansion of the grad programme.
First, demand is soaring from highly talented graduates seeking a place on the programme.
Second, is the ongoing rise in global client demand. An increasing number of people require financial advice, more often than not driven by changing demographics and as people place more importance on expertise.
Third, client expectations are constantly evolving, a lot of the time spurred by advancing technologies.
Lastly, fourth, is the looming financial adviser gap within the industry. There are many advisers who are making the decision to leave the sector due to the pressures of mounting rules and regulations, highly competitive market conditions and/or retirement.
As a result, the need for firms to recruit the next generation of wealth management professionals to fill the impending shortage is pressing.
How does the programme work?
deVere’s Graduate Programme lasts for 18 months, beginning at our training centres in Milan, Manila or Dubai. Grads then have the option to attend a global deVere Academy in vibrant destinations including Barcelona, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sydney and Cape Town, ahead of permanent relocation to start work.
As part of the programme, the grads receive inestimable one-to-one support from established financial advisers, managers and trainers, in addition to mentoring from senior staff to help them reach their full potential.
Whilst gaining formal industry qualifications, at the same time grads will be working with global, mass affluent and HNW clients, together with some of deVere’s most successful consultants, to make the most of ‘hands-on’ experience.
By doing this, the grads aren’t onlookers from the side lines, they form an integral part of what we do, helping them to become better financial advisers and enjoy more successful careers in this industry.
