I am thrilled to announce that deVere Group has opened its first office on the west coast of America. The new base in San Francisco is a fundamental part of the Group’s North American expansion project. 

Since the opening of our New York hub in 2012, coupled with an office in Miami, we have been working towards advancing our presence in the U.S. market and soon in the Canadian market, in order to cater to increasing demand from expats, U.S. citizens and global investors.

Over the past six years, demand within the financial advisory sector has been powered by a growing alertness amongst clients that seeking independent, professional advice is critical in order to protect and grow wealth. As a number of wealth management firms have left the market recently, the so-called ‘advice gap’ continues to widen, as demand outweighs supply. I therefore expect deVere’s offices in the States to potentially be the Group’s top-performing in the coming years.

As we expand in the U.S., and as the financial market in the country is often a precursor for the global financial services sector, we will scrutinise the trends and use this analysis to look at how operations might be advanced in other countries in which we operate.

Regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and with Senior Area Manager Benjamin Alderson at the helm, deVere USA already has an impressive number of clients in and around San Francisco, and together with its key financial hub standing, and a large population of expats and international investors, this area of the west coast was the natural choice for the division’s subsequent phase of growth.

The new San Francisco base will be headed up by Adrian Flambard, an eminent international adviser, who has recently relocated from deVere Group’s New York office.

I am very much looking forward to further enhancing deVere Group’s first-class reputation as we continue to expand across North America, and offer our expert, wealth management solutions to high-net-worth clients, worldwide investors and expatriates.

The team of financial advisers at the San Francisco office is expected to treble within the next six months.
