Double Green win at International Fund and Product Awards
What an amazing night it was for deVere at International Investment’s International Fund and Product Awards (IFPA) in London last night!
Now in their 19th year, these are the world’s longest-running awards for our sector.
At this glittering event, held this year at the historic Merchant Taylor’s Hall, a stone’s throw from the Bank of England in the City of London, more than 250 people from the industry came together to celebrate and recognise our peers’ achievements.
My son, James Green, our divisional manager of Western Europe, won the award for International Personality of the Year – very well deserved. I’m delighted and extremely proud of this win as it recognises the enormous hard work, commitment and energy he puts in every day to lead a total of 13 offices across the continent.
It was a ‘Double Green Win’ as I also won an award – International Personality of the Year. What a great honour – especially being up against some great people in this very competitive category!
The judges described me as being “as controversial as he is inspirational”, I was told.
I wasn’t able to be there in person due to the Delta Summit in Malta, but James collected the trophy on my behalf.
Speaking to International Investment’s Gary Robinson, James said: “We all work extremely hard at deVere and it genuinely is a team ethic within the company, but I am absolutely delighted with these awards.”
“More so for the International Personality of the Year award for my dad if I’m honest. He was looking forward to being here but a commitment with an event with the Maltese government has meant he couldn’t get here in time. I know how pleased he will be though.
“These awards are the biggest in the industry and to have received this from both the judges and the readers of International Investment is very humbling.”
Personally, I’d like to thank everyone at deVere – we share these awards with the whole company. Also, a massive thanks to International Investment, the judges and everyone who voted for us. I feel truly humbled and very appreciative!
