FTF Awards Nomination – 2015 Ops Business Person of the Year

It’s a real honour to be nominated for the 2015 Ops Business Person of the Year award by FTF News. It is in recognition for my work in campaigning against the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, or FATCA.
These awards recognise the work and achievements accomplished by finance professionals, service providers, regulators and industry experts throughout 2014, and to be nominated alongside other such leaders within the financial services industry is something of which I am, understandably, incredibly proud.
I am extremely passionate about my work towards having FATCA repealed.
FATCA has had, and continues to have, such a negative impact on so many individuals and organisations around the world, plus potentially seriously harm the U.S. and therefore global economy. As well as encroaching on countries’ sovereignty rights and individuals’ privacy, FATCA is costing financial institutions millions of dollars.
Consequently, I very much look forward to continuing to raise awareness of this highly contentious, futile law’s fundamental flaws with the ultimate objective to have it repealed.
Thank you FTF News for the nomination and best of luck to all my fellow nominees!
